About Lexxyapp
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Lexxyapp is a free, English-language online toolkit focused on currency conversion and reference. We built this site for travelers, students, developers, small-business owners, and anyone who needs quick access to exchange rates and currency information — without creating an account, installing software, or wading through ads.
Who We Are
Lexxyapp is run by a small, independent team of developers and finance enthusiasts based in the United States. We are not a bank, broker, or financial institution. We started this project because we were frustrated with existing currency tools: they were cluttered with ads, required sign-ups, offered limited currencies, or simply looked like they were built in 2005. We wanted something clean, fast, and honest — so we built it ourselves.
Our Mission
We believe currency tools should be fast, transparent, and accessible to everyone. Lexxyapp delivers clean, mobile-friendly tools inspired by modern financial websites — without clutter, paywalls, or unnecessary data collection. Our goal is to help people make better-informed decisions when dealing with foreign exchange, whether they are converting $50 for a vacation or researching currency trends for a business report.
What We Offer
- Multi-Currency Converter — Convert one currency into many targets at once. Useful for travelers comparing costs across countries, freelancers invoicing international clients, or students researching exchange rates.
- Global Currency Symbols — A searchable directory of 70+ currencies with their symbols, ISO codes, countries, and decimal precision. Designed for developers localizing apps, writers fact-checking financial content, and anyone who needs a quick reference.
- Widget Generator — Create embeddable converter widgets for your blog or website. Choose from multiple layouts, themes, and sizes. No API key required.
- Currency Pairs — Browse popular FX pairs with live indicative rates, inverse quotes, and one-click integration with the converter. Organized by region (Major, Europe, Asia, Americas, Africa, Middle East, Emerging).
- Currency Strength Meter — See which currencies are gaining or losing strength against a basket of 20 major world currencies. Choose different time periods and benchmark currencies to track trends visually.
Our Blog
Beyond tools, we publish articles about exchange rates, currency history, personal finance strategies for travelers, and the future of money. Our writing aims to be practical, well-researched, and free of jargon. We cover topics like how bank spreads work, what hyperinflation looks like in practice, how to minimize forex losses as a digital nomad, and where currency technology is heading.
How We Fund This Site
Lexxyapp is free for users. We may display non-intrusive advertisements through Google AdSense to help cover hosting and development costs. These ads do not influence our content, tools, or the rates we display. We do not offer paid subscriptions or premium features — everything on the site is available to everyone at no cost.
Our Data Sources
All exchange rates on Lexxyapp are mid-market reference rates sourced from the Frankfurter API, which is based on European Central Bank (ECB) data. The ECB publishes rates once per working day around 16:00 CET. These rates are widely used by financial institutions, media outlets, and corporations as a reliable benchmark. We do not modify, estimate, or fabricate rates — what you see is what the ECB publishes.
Exchange Rate Disclaimer
All rates displayed on Lexxyapp are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice. Actual rates from banks, card networks, and money transfer services may include fees, spreads, and differ from our displayed rates. Never use our rates as the sole basis for any financial decision.
